About the role

Informa Festivals is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sponsorship and SmārtMeet sales for Money20/20, the leading fintech event platform. Based in our New York City office, you will join the global commercial team and work closely with industry leaders to generate revenue and build strategic relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed quarterly and yearly revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Drive new business growth across multiple revenue lines and key market sectors.
  • Collaborate with internal product teams to shape revenue opportunities based on market needs.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with senior prospects, deliver high‑level presentations, and draft proposals and contracts.
  • Network consistently within the fintech and events ecosystem.
  • Produce detailed proposal presentations and develop tailored commercial solutions from the Money20/20 portfolio.
  • Negotiate and close deals efficiently.
  • Liaise with marketing, creative, finance, and other internal teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Identify and solicit prospects for paid, curated meeting packages.
  • Conduct outreach campaigns via email, phone, social media, and SMS to secure commitments.
  • Qualify, pitch, and close meeting solutions while tracking SmārtMeet KPIs.
  • Provide insights to sales, marketing, and leadership to improve program effectiveness.

Required profile

  • Proven track record in event sales, especially securing revenue for high‑value one‑to‑one meeting programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in fast‑paced event environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence executive‑level decision makers.
  • Self‑motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic, results‑driven setting.
