Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will support the Director of Business Development in executing the sales strategy, building a pipeline of new opportunities, and identifying merger and acquisition prospects within the renewable energy sector. This remote position focuses on driving growth across target markets and service offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing the overall sales strategy and creating a revenue pipeline.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities, including RFP response coordination.
• Maintain and update leads, opportunities, and sales data in Salesforce CRM.
• Partner with marketing to raise awareness of capabilities and support trade‑show participation.
• Analyze market data to spot trends, new clients, and growth areas.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and support.

Required profile

• 4‑year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, Business or related field.
• 1‑3 years of sales or sales‑support experience in renewable energy, power, or industrial capital projects.
• Experience in the renewable energy industry (wind, solar, battery storage, transmission) is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Project.
• Ability to work with Bluebeam Revu or similar drawing review tools.
