Business Development Manager – Air Freight

About the role

As a Business Development Manager – Air Freight you will drive growth by attracting new customers and building lasting relationships that position Maersk as the preferred provider of air freight solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Pursue and secure new Air Freight SME business in line with business objectives.
• Identify customer needs and pain points, delivering value‑based solutions.
• Develop a robust account base through deep understanding of target customers.
• Establish and maintain in‑person relationships to ensure Maersk is the provider of choice.
• Communicate market trends, rate changes, and policy updates to customers.
• Research and analyse global and local air freight industry trends.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM (Salesforce) to keep a healthy sales pipeline.
• Collaborate with the North America Air Freight Product organization to grow revenue and meet targets.
• Partner with capacity and campaign managers to create commercial plans and maximise asset utilisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of external sales experience in the international air freight industry.
• Proven ability in persuasive, value‑based selling.
• Highly independent, results‑driven and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
