Business Analyst (Remote, DoD Secret Clearance)

About the role

CACI is hiring a Business Analyst for a remote position, supporting cross-functional teams through backlog refinement, user story creation and iteration planning. Candidates must live within driving distance of Scott Air Force Base. The role is full time, requires a Secret clearance and up to 10% local travel.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for capturing, analysing and managing functional and non-functional system requirements and user stories.
• Decompose features into stories in the product backlog and lead backlog refinement, keeping work items clear, prioritised and ready for implementation.
• Work with the ScrumMaster to set sprint backlogs, resolve impediments and define scope.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritise the backlog and align requirements with business objectives and roadmap goals.
• Document stories and acceptance criteria, identify dependencies and ensure traceability.
• Verify requirements with Product Owners and Functional SMEs, and communicate business needs to developers through user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Validate acceptance criteria so they are testable and support Test Driven Development.
• Lead demonstrations to stakeholders and report on each software iteration.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a DoD Secret clearance and ability to pass a background investigation (felony, drug use and misconduct checks).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst on iterative software development projects.
• Familiarity with SAFe or Agile methodologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and SharePoint.
• Desired: Certified SAFe Product Owner, Certified SAFe Practitioner, Certified Business Analysis Professional, BABOK knowledge, ServiceNow or Jira experience.
