Breakfast Attendant (Part-Time)

About the role

A part-time Breakfast Attendant is needed at SpringHill Suites Scranton Montage Mountain in Moosic, Pennsylvania. The breakfast bar is prepared for hotel guests while greeting and serving them in a friendly manner consistent with brand, hotel and sustainability standards. The role offers a growth path to positions such as restaurant server, guest service agent, restaurant supervisor or front desk manager.

Key responsibilities

• Carry food, dishes, trays or silverware from the pantry to serving counters
• Set up attractive food displays and keep the area clean to ensure food safety
• Wipe tables or seats with damp cloths, scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry them to the kitchen
• Clean up spills, broken dishes and trash, and keep supplies of clean glassware, dishes and trays
• Fill beverage and ice dispensers, stock cabinets and serving areas with condiments, and provide items guests request
• Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture and equipment, and mop or vacuum floors
• Follow sustainability guidelines of the HHM EarthView program, practice safe work habits and perform other duties asked by management

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Food sanitation certification is a plus and required within 90 days of employment
• Previous food and beverage experience preferred or equivalent training
• Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends
• Physical demands include standing for long periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds and bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling or crouching
