About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking multiple Bowen Fellows to support first‑year law students. This temporary, student‑focused position provides academic counseling, group study facilitation, and onboarding assistance during the first week of law school.
Key responsibilities
- Attend Bowen Fellow training and mandatory weekly staff meetings.
- Welcome incoming 1L students, answer questions, and refer them to appropriate campus resources.
- Facilitate weekly 45‑minute guided group study sessions at assigned locations.
- Provide academic counseling and support to 1L students throughout the semester.
- Maintain detailed attendance records for all group study meetings.
Required profile
- Current or upcoming 2L or 3L law student status.
- Commitment to the objectives of the Bowen Student Success Program.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to assist peers.
