About the role
The YMCA seeks a certified Les Mills BODYPUMP Instructor to lead on‑site fitness classes for members. This part‑time position involves delivering safe, motivating workouts in line with YMCA standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and instruct BODYPUMP classes following Les Mills guidelines.
- Observe participant progress, provide feedback and motivational support.
- Set up, take down, and maintain class equipment, reporting any issues.
- Ensure a safe workout environment and respond to accidents or incidents.
- Maintain accurate class records and attend staff meetings and required trainings.
Required profile
- Les Mills BODYPUMP certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 25 hours of practical fitness instruction experience or completion of a 6‑week instructor training course.
- Current state‑approved first aid and CPR certifications.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and communicate in multiple languages is a plus.
