Board Operator / Talent (Seasonal, Part-Time)

About the role

iHeartMedia, the largest audio company in America, is hiring a Board Operator in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This seasonal, part-time, hourly position keeps broadcasts running smoothly and sounds great, so that every show, ad and moment reaches listeners clearly. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Key responsibilities

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
• Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing and compliance with FCC regulations.
• Coordinate with talent, producers and traffic teams for smooth transitions and accurate commercial placement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate as needed.
• Record, edit and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
• Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
• Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or coursework a plus.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Respect for others, ability to follow standardized procedures and escalate when needed, and close attention to detail.

Required skills

• Familiarity with broadcast equipment and automation systems (e.g., NexGen, Adobe Audition).
• Strong technical aptitude, excellent attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
