BMW Service Technician

About the role

BMW of Chattanooga is seeking a skilled Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards. The role includes supervising apprentice technicians and ensuring high-quality service for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process repair orders from the dispatcher.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions, perform repairs, and document work performed.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain required components.
• Tag and save warranty parts as needed.
• Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs and inform the service advisor.
• Road‑test vehicles or coordinate testing with the test technician.
• Supervise apprentice technicians assigned to the work bay.
• Attend factory‑sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and adhere to safety and hazardous‑waste regulations.

Required profile

• High CSI certification is mandatory.
• ASE certification or equivalent manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass background, MVR, drug testing, and pre‑employment assessments.
