Bistro Attendant

About the role

The Bistro Attendant is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience in the hotel’s bistro. You will provide friendly, efficient service, prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items, operate the point‑of‑sale system, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, take accurate orders, and enter them into the POS system.
• Answer menu questions, make recommendations, and promptly deliver food and drinks while ensuring quality and presentation.
• Prepare and serve sandwiches, salads, pizza, grilled items, breakfast items, coffee, and other beverages according to standardized recipes.
• Assist with food preparation for banquets, meetings, and special events as needed.
• Complete opening and closing duties, stock supplies, process payments, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
• Bus, clean, sanitize, and reset dining tables; restock paper products, condiments, and other supplies throughout the shift.
• Follow “Clean As You Go” practices, adhere to food safety and health regulations, and safely operate kitchen equipment.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of food preparation, customer service, and cash handling.
• Ability to operate or quickly learn a POS system.
• Must possess or obtain required Food Handler or alcohol service certifications.
• Effective communication skills with guests, team members, and supervisors.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
