Biomechanics Test Lab Engineer

About the role

Enovis is seeking a Biomechanics Test Lab Engineer to support the development and evaluation of orthopedic products. The role involves planning and executing mechanical tests, generating reports, and maintaining lab operations to meet internal and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical testing following ASTM standards and internal procedures.
• Design and manufacture custom test fixtures and operate testing systems such as MTS, Instron, and ADMET.
• Produce accurate test data, reports, and evidence for FDA submissions.
• Collaborate with external testing vendors and oversee student engineers.
• Perform linear finite element analysis and support development of testing strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, biomedical, or related STEM field.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical testing or related industry.
• Strong communication, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb and stand or sit for extended periods.

Required skills

• Mechanical testing equipment (MTS, Instron, ADMET).
• ASTM testing standards.
• Linear finite element analysis.
• Microscopy techniques (optical, SEM).
• Cadaveric tissue dissection and preparation.
