About the role
The Biology Instructor will deliver high‑quality undergraduate biology instruction at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock while also serving as the Coordinator of Undergraduate Studies. This dual role blends classroom teaching, curriculum development, and program administration to support student success.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lectures, labs, and discussion sessions in biology.
- Assess student performance through exams, assignments, and practical evaluations.
- Coordinate undergraduate biology curriculum, scheduling, and program requirements.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, labs, and assessment tools.
- Collaborate with faculty on research opportunities and interdisciplinary initiatives.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field.
- Strong knowledge of biological principles and commitment to staying current in the discipline.
- Experience in undergraduate teaching or curriculum coordination is preferred.
