BIM Designer – Revit & Computational Design

About the role

Sherwood is seeking a BIM / Computational Designer who is a power user of Revit and Rhino. The role supports an evolving design and documentation workflow across landscape architecture, urban design, structural and civil engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate Rhino‑to‑Revit workflows.
• Maintain cloud‑based BIM environments and ensure smooth design coordination through the construction documentation (CD) process.
• Translate computational and geometric design systems into coordinated Revit models for consultant coordination, IFC exchange, and construction documentation.
• Optimize model performance, resolve geometry fragmentation, and address coordination conflicts.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in urban design, landscape architecture, architecture, or architecture technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design, or a closely related field.
• Experience supporting construction documentation production within multidisciplinary project environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in BIM, Rhino, Grasshopper, and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Rhino‑to‑Revit workflows, geometry translation, and model coordination strategies.
• Understanding of model structure, geometry abstraction, metadata organization, and BIM data coordination.
• Ability to troubleshoot model performance, geometry fragmentation, coordination conflicts, and export issues.
