Billing Care Coordinator (Remote)

About the role

Tia is seeking a Billing Care Coordinator to provide compassionate, accurate billing assistance to members facing complex or urgent billing questions. This remote position serves as a primary point of contact for members, helping them understand charges, navigate insurance issues, and resolve payment concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound billing calls, escalations, and urgent member requests with professionalism and empathy.
• Research and resolve billing concerns, including insurance denials, payment discrepancies, and patient balances.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle Management SMEs, Billing Success Coordinators, and support teams to ensure smooth case handoffs.
• Document all interactions, actions, and follow‑up steps in compliance with HIPAA and internal standards.
• Follow escalation protocols to guarantee full resolution or appropriate routing.
• Identify recurring billing issues and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in billing support, revenue cycle, patient services, or a high‑touch customer service role.
• Comfortable handling live phone interactions, escalations, and sensitive conversations.
• Detail‑oriented, calm under pressure, and able to communicate clearly.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards.
