Bilingual Customer Care Representative

About the role

Assurant is hiring a full-time, remote Bilingual Customer Care Representative. The role handles inbound customer calls and e-mails, resolves issues and answers questions, and delivers a positive customer experience. It does not involve cold calling, sales or contract upgrades. Shifts may include evenings and weekends, and candidates must be available as late as 9 PM EST.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer calls and/or e-mails with empathy and professionalism
• Resolve issues, answer questions and provide proactive solutions
• Document interactions and follow up as needed
• Participate in special projects and adapt to evolving priorities
• Deliver a WOW experience on every call

Required profile

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (required)
• High school diploma or GED
• Customer service experience (call center, insurance or banking preferred); 2+ years preferred
• Reliable high-speed internet (25 Mbps down / 6 Mbps up) and a quiet, distraction-free home office setup
• Availability for shifts including weekends and holidays, as late as 9 PM EST

Required skills

• Strong communication, listening and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask using technology in a fast-paced environment
• Prior remote work experience preferred
