Bilingual Accountant / Bookkeeper / Controller (Spanish/English)

About the role

Citrus Argentina seeks a hands‑on accounting professional to manage daily financial operations from its Stamford, CT office. The position blends bookkeeping, general accounting, and controller‑level oversight while supporting cross‑border communication with Argentina‑based teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full‑cycle bookkeeping, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and issue sales invoices to customers.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card accounts.
• Oversee budgeting, cash‑flow tracking, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure internal controls and GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and Argentina finance contacts, providing bilingual communication.
• Translate financial documents between English and Spanish as needed.
• Support leadership with financial analysis for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA a plus, not required).
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or controller‑level roles.
• Fluent in both spoken and written Spanish and English.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Stamford, CT.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Excel skills.
