BI Report Developer II

About the role

The University of Miami Health System IT Department is seeking a full‑time BI Report Developer II to partner with stakeholders and deliver business intelligence solutions through reports, dashboards, SQL queries, and metadata layers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and tune dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with ETL developers and application analysts to define report design strategies and understand source data.
• Identify process improvements and apply industry best practices for BI development.
• Manage security setup, tool administration, and data‑modeling activities.
• Create documentation, training materials, and post‑implementation support.
• Review, test, and evaluate reports and analytical tools before production release.
• Collect requirements, estimate project effort, and coordinate user activities during development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BI reporting, data warehousing, or data modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required skills

• SQL
• Power BI (or similar reporting tools)
