Bell Person – Guest Luggage Assistant

About the role

The Bell Person is the first point of contact for arriving and departing guests, delivering the "wow" experience Sonesta promises. You will assist with luggage handling, provide courteous service throughout the property, and help guests feel welcomed from lobby to room.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests in a professional manner and acknowledge arrivals.
• Transport luggage to and from guest rooms, vehicles, and storage areas.
• Tag, secure, and store luggage per guest request.
• Direct guests to appropriate hotel departments for food, laundry, concierge, or housekeeping needs.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and complaints, escalating major issues to supervisors.
• Promote hotel facilities, outlets, and local attractions.
• Maintain uniform and grooming standards and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment.
• Flexibility to work variable days, weekends, holidays, and shifts (including nights and overnights).
• Physical capability to lift, push, and pull luggage and carts (up to 250 lb).
• Previous hotel or retail customer‑service experience preferred.
