Behavioral Health Technician – Full-Time (Multiple Shifts)

About the role

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct support to clients throughout their recovery journey at Wise Path Recovery Centers. Working on one of three shifts, the BHT helps create a safe, structured environment and collaborates closely with clinical and medical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, program orientation, and participation in recovery groups.
• Monitor client safety, conduct vital signs, drug screens, and breathalyzer tests according to protocol.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and uphold chain‑of‑custody standards.
• Perform safety rounds, environmental checks, and follow infection‑control procedures.
• Support front‑desk operations, scheduling, meal preparation, and general facility organization.
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities when required, complying with state regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 21.
• Valid driver’s license (required for client transportation).
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to pass background and motor‑vehicle checks.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field, 1+ year experience in behavioral health or residential care, familiarity with 12‑Step programs and recovery principles.
