About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a compassionate professional to join the Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah as a Behavioral Health Counselor/Treatment Mall Clinician. Working under broad supervision, you will provide preventive counseling and behavior‑modification services to individuals and groups.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver counseling focused on prevention, behavior modification, and mental‑health promotion.
• Assist clients dealing with addiction, substance abuse, family, parenting, marital, and suicide concerns.
• Provide stress‑management, self‑esteem, and aging‑related mental‑health support.
• Lead or participate in multidisciplinary teams as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution, OR a Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience, OR one year of experience at the lower‑level Behavioral Health Counselor 1 position.
• Current professional licensure or certification permitting practice in Georgia.
• Ability to meet mandatory health screenings, vaccinations, drug testing, and background checks.

Required skills
