Bartender - Toyota Music Factory

About the role

Toyota Music Factory is hiring a Concessions Bartender in Irving. The bartender provides positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. Candidates must follow safety policies and procedures, complete company-wide and job-specific safety training, and be able to work long hours and flexible shifts including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, take beverage orders from restaurant servers or directly from guests, and serve drinks in line with company standards
• Mix cocktails and other bar beverages using high-quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs and spices
• Serve wine using proper wine service techniques, suggest wines and check guest identification for age requirements
• Work with the culinary team to create mixers and garnishes, and serve food items to guests seated at the bar
• Handle an assigned bank, collect payments, balance receipts and follow cash-handling procedures
• Keep the bar stocked, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions, and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Organize catering storage areas, attend mandatory meetings and perform general cleaning tasks
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• At least two years of experience as a bartender
• Ability to work independently or in a team during setup and service
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
• Personable, friendly and welcoming; ability to listen to and take direction from a supervisor
• Ability to read, speak and write English and to remember and promote menu items
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously and to maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards
• Working email to communicate with managers

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of drink recipes and the ability to create signature drinks
• Extensive knowledge of wines
• Ability to serve drinks in a timely manner
