Bartender - Allianz Amphitheater

About the role

Legends Global is hiring Concessions Bartenders for the Allianz Amphitheater in Richmond. Bartenders provide positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. The venue is part of a hospitality portfolio covering professional sports, collegiate, attractions, entertainment, international and convention events.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, take beverage orders from restaurant servers or directly from guests, and serve drinks in line with company standards
• Mix cocktails and other bar beverages using high-quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs and spices
• Serve wine, explain its characteristics, evaluate guests' needs and suggest appropriate options using proper wine service techniques
• Work with the culinary team to create mixers and garnishes
• Check guest identification to verify age requirements for alcohol, handle an assigned bank and follow cash-handling procedures, and collect payments and balance receipts
• Keep the bar stocked, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions, and serve food items to guests seated at the bar
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and organize catering storage areas
• Attend mandatory meetings, perform general cleaning to meet health and safety standards, and complete other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• At least two years of experience as a bartender
• Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Extensive knowledge of drink recipes, wines and food and beverage products, menus and promotions
• Ability to work independently or in a team during setup and service, and to listen to and take direction from a supervisor
• Personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance; personable, friendly and welcoming
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
• Ability to read, speak and write English and to remember and promote menu items
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously and a working email to communicate with managers
