Barista (Part‑Time, Year‑Round)

About the role

Vail Health Hospital is seeking a part‑time, year‑round Barista to join its on‑site Starbucks location. You will create welcoming experiences for guests, craft high‑quality beverages, and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare high‑quality coffee, tea, and food items following recipe and presentation standards.
• Greet customers warmly, understand their needs, and guide them through menu options.
• Stay organized and efficient during busy periods or unexpected rushes.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe workspace, including equipment and utensils.
• Follow safe food‑handling procedures and all operational policies, including cash handling, safety, and security.
• Communicate shift information to leadership and uphold the principles of a Just Culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Required profile

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Previous Starbucks experience preferred.
• Ability to acquire necessary computer skills within 90 days.
• Working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
• No specific education or certifications required.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills for POS and online learning platforms.
• English language proficiency.
