Baker – French Brasserie Le Supreme

About the role

Method Co. is seeking a skilled baker to join the team at Le Supreme, a modern French brasserie located in Detroit’s historic Book Tower. You will be responsible for producing a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts that reflect classic French techniques while supporting the restaurant’s seasonal menu.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
• Execute classic French baking techniques with consistency, precision, and attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bakery workspace.
• Monitor ingredient quality, freshness, and inventory levels.
• Assist with recipe development, seasonal offerings, and menu updates.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all baked goods and ingredients.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to meet service needs and production timelines.
• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and food‑handling standards.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional baking or pastry experience, preferably in French or artisanal baking.
• Strong understanding of baking fundamentals, dough handling, and pastry techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes with precision while maintaining speed and efficiency.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
• Passion for craftsmanship, quality, and hospitality.
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and team‑oriented mindset.
