Azure Cloud Engineer

About the role

Joint Strategic Technologies is looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize its Azure environment. This full‑time remote position will ensure the cloud platform remains available, performant and secure while supporting internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and maintain Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, databases and networking.
• Monitor performance metrics, troubleshoot issues and implement improvements using Azure Monitor and Azure Sentinel.
• Manage security by reviewing access requests, monitoring logs and configuring Azure AD role‑based access control.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Azure Automation and Logic Apps.
• Design and support multi‑tenant cloud solutions, including disaster recovery with Azure Site Recovery and backup with Azure Backup.
• Control costs and optimize spending across Azure services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of IT administration experience with a focus on Azure cloud administration.
• Strong understanding of Azure architecture and services.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
