AWS Cloud Engineer – 12+ month Hybrid Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team for a 12‑month engagement. The role is hybrid, requiring 2‑3 days per week on‑site in West Sacramento, CA. You will work on designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud solutions for our web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native applications on AWS.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and automate deployments.
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes (EKS).
• Integrate and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2 and other security frameworks.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of hands‑on experience with AWS services.
• Proven experience in web application development using Python, Node.js, or C#.
• Strong background in CI/CD, IaC, containerization, and orchestration.
• Deep understanding of security and compliance requirements.
