Aviation Trusted Agent

About the role

The City of Dallas is seeking an Aviation Trusted Agent to process airport security identification media in compliance with TSA regulations and airport SOPs. This position supports secure access to airport facilities and ensures proper credentialing of badge holders.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and transmit applicant information for Criminal History Records Check and Security Threat Assessment via the Designated Aviation Channeler.
• Review badge applications for completeness, verify identity, and ensure TSA approval before issuance.
• Oversee security training and confirm completion prior to badge issuance.
• Log, track, and reconcile issuance, loss, theft, return, and destruction of ID media.
• Maintain stop‑list of unaccumulated ID media to prevent unauthorized access.
• Process payments and fees using SAP (Pay 1) and handle customer communications via phone and email.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree or ACE certification acceptable).
• Three years of customer‑service experience involving complex inquiries, data entry, and credential verification.
• Knowledge of city operations, airport safety procedures, applicable laws, and trust‑management policies.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP (Pay 1) for fee processing.
• Operation of two‑way radio communication with FAA and air traffic control.
