Aviation Safety Analyst

About the role

Wing is seeking an Aviation Safety Analyst to strengthen its Safety Management System. Based in Palo Alto with a hybrid work model, you will translate operational data into actionable safety insights for our drone delivery fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze safety data sets, create performance charts and dashboards to monitor operational controls.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to conduct risk assessments on new technologies, concepts, and flight environments.
• Lead safety investigations, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Review proposed organizational or operational changes to maintain existing safety levels.
• Collaborate daily with Engineering, Flight Operations, and Flight Test to ensure data accuracy and realistic risk assessments.
• Support safety promotion by assisting with training sessions and preparing safety communications.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in a regulated safety environment, preferably aviation or autonomous systems.
• Proven ability to conduct both quantitative and qualitative safety data analysis.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Safety Risk Management (SRM) processes.
• Strong investigative skills and familiarity with root‑cause analysis methodologies.
