Automotive Service Advisor – Customer Service & Warranty Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a professional Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy Service Department at Ford of Harvey. In this full‑time position you will be the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through vehicle maintenance, warranty repairs and service recommendations in line with manufacturer guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct walk‑around inspections of customer vehicles and accurately document service needs on repair orders.
• Communicate service recommendations based on inspection results, service history and multi‑point inspections.
• Act as liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
• Prepare and verify repair orders, supporting documentation for warranty claims, and ensure work is completed correctly before vehicle return.
• Promote sales of labor, parts and accessories to meet department goals.
• Deliver vehicles to customers upon completion, explaining performed services.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or similar customer‑facing role in a dealership or repair shop.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Professional appearance and outgoing, friendly demeanor.
• Organizational ability to manage multiple service orders and documentation.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret vehicle service information and warranty guidelines.
• Basic technical understanding of automotive systems (certifications a plus).
