Automotive Business Consultant

About the role

Reynolds and Reynolds is seeking experienced automotive professionals to join its consulting team. As an Automotive Business Consultant you will travel extensively to dealerships across the United States, building relationships and helping them improve efficiency, profitability, and overall performance.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with dealership personnel.
• Identify operational challenges within dealerships and apply proven consulting programs.
• Deliver on‑site assessments, recommendations, and implementation support.
• Provide post‑project follow‑up and ongoing fee‑for‑service support.
• Drive consulting services sales by building trust and demonstrating value.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive dealership roles (e.g., sales, service, management, finance, parts, fixed operations).
• Willingness to travel up to five nights per week with overnight hotel stays.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years, no DUI/DWI in the last five years).
• Reliable personal transportation and home internet suitable for video conferencing.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary $60,000–$63,000 during a 90‑day training period.
• Quarterly bonuses after the training period; total targeted income $80,000+.
