AutoCAD Specialist

About the role

Amentum is seeking an AutoCAD Specialist in Mossville, IL. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with overtime on Saturdays possible during peak business demand. The role covers facility drawings, LOTO audits, facility maintenance support, projects and contractor coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, update and organize facility drawings, including floor plans, utility layouts, civil site drawings and equipment locations, and coordinate with contractors and project leads on modifications
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) audits to verify asset presence, labeling accuracy and safety compliance, and update associated documentation
• Help with preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drainage and building systems, troubleshoot issues, inspect sites and run asset audits
• Estimate materials and costs for facility improvements, manage construction and repair projects and track schedules, budgets and contractor performance
• Coordinate contractors, review bids, manage vendors and ensure OSHA, hot work and site safety requirements are met
• Develop and update 3-D and solid CAD/CAE models, site maps, emergency posters and traffic flow maps, and check drawings for accuracy and completeness
• Review technical documentation against performance specifications and as-built equipment, and maintain files and backups

Required profile

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent
• Three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education
• Attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills
