About the role

The State of Georgia, through Columbus Technical College, seeks a full‑time Auto Collision Repair Technical Instructor. The instructor will deliver classroom and hands‑on laboratory training to prepare students for careers in automotive collision repair.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom and laboratory instruction in collision damage assessment, structural repair, refinishing, welding, and body repair.
• Develop lesson plans, course materials, and assessments aligned with state standards and industry expectations.
• Demonstrate proper use of collision repair tools, equipment, and materials.
• Evaluate student progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure safety compliance in training areas.
• Maintain instructional tools, manage inventory, and assist with budget requests.
• Stay current with advancements in collision repair technology and industry certifications.
• Support program accreditation, industry partnerships, and student recruitment, retention, and placement.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced professional in automotive collision repair.
• Ability to teach high‑school and post‑secondary students across multiple counties.
• Willingness to travel within the service delivery area.
