Audit Evaluation & Review Analyst – Medicaid Fraud Control Unit

About the role

The Office of the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit is seeking an Audit Evaluation & Review Analyst to support investigations in Orlando and Tampa, Florida. The analyst will apply advanced auditing knowledge to detect and quantify Medicaid overpayments and fraud.

Key responsibilities

• Review resident trust accounts and guide Medicaid analysts on financial matters.
• Conduct random sampling in line with HHS‑OIG standards and calculate overpayments and exploitation losses.
• Provide financial interpretation and guidance to Assistant Attorneys General, lead investigators, and medical investigators.
• Lead investigations of suspected cost‑report fraud and prospective payment system fraud involving nursing homes, hospitals, and ICF/IID facilities.
• Collaborate with investigative teams to gather and analyze financial evidence.

Required profile

• Six years of professional auditing or financial analysis experience, or a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree or CPA/CIA certification can substitute for one year of experience.
• Successful completion of a timed Skills Verification Test with a minimum score of 70%.
