Audit Engineer

About the role

Clark is building the trust infrastructure for the AI economy, focusing on audit and accounting workflows. As an Audit Engineer you will act as the bridge between accounting firms and our platform, guiding customers through implementation, adoption, and scaling of Clark’s solutions. Your work will directly influence product improvements and accelerate customer success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery of customer workflows during implementations and act as a trusted advisor throughout onboarding.
• Run weekly check‑ins, manage communications, and support pilot engagements and new product rollouts.
• Translate customer pain points into actionable product feedback and create Linear issues for engineering teams.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to prioritize customer needs and improve implementation playbooks.
• Help customers redesign audit workflows to leverage AI‑powered automation.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of audit or assurance experience, preferably at a Big 4 or Top 25 accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of audit methodology and client workflows.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and project‑management skills.
• High ownership mentality and comfort working in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Required skills

• Experience with audit technology or workflow automation tools.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL.
• Ability to implement enterprise software and automate processes.
