Audiologist 1 – Full‑Time Clinical Role

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a full‑time Audiologist 1 to join its clinical team in Miami, FL. The role involves independent clinic management, patient testing, and hearing‑aid services, with occasional travel to satellite locations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform immittance and emissions testing, including air and bone conduction assessments.
• Conduct auditory evoked potential evaluations and speech reception/discrimination tests.
• Interpret test results, counsel patients on hearing loss type and degree, and document findings.
• Dispense, fit, and adjust hearing aids based on individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals regarding patient care plans.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records from evaluation through discharge.
• Participate in research, conferences, and training to stay current with audiology advances.

Required profile

• Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degree.
• Current valid Florida Audiologist license.
• Three years of relevant audiology experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
