Audio Technician (Event Run Position)

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring an Audio Technician for an event run in New York. The technician reports to the Technical Manager and Event Manager and helps install, operate and maintain a large audio/video rig outdoors, keeping technical and production standards high throughout the run. The position runs from 9/21/2026 to 1/3/2027, working onsite for install, event run and strike, typically 14:00 to 23:30 plus meetings and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Switch on and off the system each day and carry out daily technical checks
• Install audio systems outdoors to an extremely high standard
• Maintain and service installed equipment during the run of show and fix faults or damage
• Liaise with the wider technical team on potential problems and assist other departments
• Keep general maintenance up to date

Required profile

• Previous audio experience, ideally on large outdoor festivals, illumination trails or outdoor experiential events
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure, with attention to detail
• First-aid certification is a plus
• Must be able to work in the event country, either as a resident/citizen or hold a work visa/permit

Required skills

• Dante network audio distribution and QLAB audio playback software
• Local area networks and networking fault finding
• MIDI triggers, Timecode, OSC triggering and sound level behaviour outdoors
• Video projection, including soft edge blending up to 3 projectors (Panasonic, Epson, Barco preferred)
• LED processing and IEM swapping on ROE products
• BitFocus Companion and Brightsign player programming
