About the role

The Athletic Facilities Service Assistant supports the daily operation and maintenance of athletic venues and related facilities at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. This role ensures that sports areas remain safe, clean, and ready for use by students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, setup, and breakdown of athletic spaces before and after events.
• Assist with equipment inventory, distribution, and minor repairs.
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Support event staff with logistical tasks such as signage placement and crowd flow management.
• Maintain compliance with university safety and health policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and arrange equipment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cleaning and facility upkeep procedures.
• Familiarity with athletic equipment handling.
