Assurance Associate I

About the role

The Assurance Associate I will join a team of audit professionals, gaining exposure to a broad range of industries such as blockchain, financial services, real estate, and nonprofit. This entry‑level position offers mentorship from a personal Coach and Buddy to support your development in public accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audit procedures to evaluate the accuracy and completeness of client financial statements.
• Test and assess internal control systems in collaboration with team members.
• Build and maintain client relationships, responding to inquiries and identifying opportunities for service improvement.
• Analyze financial disclosures to detect material misstatements and recommend corrective actions.
• Continuously develop auditing knowledge through training and stay current with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Foundational knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
• Enough academic units to sit for the CPA exam and a demonstrated interest in obtaining CPA licensure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Understanding of GAAP and GAAS accounting principles.
