Associate Supplier Development Engineer – Ground Support Equipment

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking an Associate Supplier Development Engineer to support a cross‑functional team focused on ground support equipment. You will evaluate supplier capabilities, drive improvements, and ensure quality and delivery performance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify product improvements to enhance producibility, lower risk, and reduce costs.
• Act as a technical liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Assist in corrective actions to resolve manufacturing defects and eliminate root causes.
• Inspect parts and assemblies to improve quality for both BETA and suppliers.
• Conduct supplier assessments and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of manufacturing experience.
• BA/BS in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
• US Person status.
• Experience with Lean/Manufacturing Engineering.

Required skills

• Digital Product Definition and 2D drawing interpretation.
• GD&T and drafting standards.
• Lean Manufacturing principles.
• ISO 9001 implementation.
• AS9102 First Article Inspection or AS9100D auditing.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Design for Assembly and capacity planning techniques.
