Associate Professor – Clinical Interventional Radiology

About the role

The University of Miami Department of Interventional Radiology is seeking an Associate Professor of Clinical – Interventional Radiology. The faculty member will provide patient‑centered, minimally invasive image‑guided care while advancing research and training programs across multiple campus locations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform a full spectrum of interventional procedures.
• Develop and implement innovative interventional techniques.
• Evaluate patients pre‑ and post‑procedure and expand outpatient interventional clinics.
• Supervise technical personnel and ensure quality‑assurance standards.
• Provide on‑call emergency care and participate in the departmental on‑call schedule.
• Assume administrative duties as assigned by the Chairman.
• Teach residents, fellows, medical students, and deliver continuing medical education.
• Serve on university and hospital committees.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Interventional Radiology.
• Demonstrated experience in a high‑volume academic IR practice.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence, research, and education.
• Ability to work across multiple UM/JMH locations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in image‑guided minimally invasive procedures.
• Interpretation of interventional imaging studies.
• Supervision of technical staff and quality‑assurance processes.
• Emergency patient care and on‑call service.
