About the role

The University of Miami UHealth Hospital is seeking an Associate Nurse Manager to lead the Progressive Care Respiratory unit. This full‑time position oversees daily nursing operations, ensures high‑quality patient care, and supports strategic initiatives within the department.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the nursing team and direct patient care to meet quality, safety, and service standards.
• Manage day‑to‑day unit operations, including staffing, patient acuity, and workflow prioritization.
• Conduct staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and corrective action processes.
• Collaborate with Nurse Leaders to set short‑ and long‑term goals aligned with organizational priorities.
• Monitor productivity, financial targets, and employee engagement, providing coaching and development opportunities.
• Lead quality improvement and process improvement initiatives, applying evidence‑based best practices.
