Associate Medical Director, Pediatric Development Team

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Associate Medical Director to lead pediatric clinical development for immunology‑related products. The role supports strategy, protocol design, regulatory interactions and execution of Phase 1‑3 pediatric trials across multiple therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic input to the pediatric drug development group and scientific leadership to trial teams.
• Design, execute and report Phase 1, 2 and 3 pediatric clinical trials, monitoring safety and delivering scientific oversight.
• Contribute to Integrated Study Plans, IND submissions, IBs, CTAs, BLAs and other regulatory documents.
• Collaborate with early and late development teams and compound development groups to align pediatric strategy.
• Author abstracts and manuscripts, present data internally, and build relationships with opinion leaders.

Required profile

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics or a pediatric subspecialty (Immunology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology).
• Experience in pharmaceutical drug development or clinical research in academia or industry.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment, strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% annually, domestic and international.
