Associate Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to support our commercial and corporate legal functions. Working under senior attorneys, you will help draft, review, and manage a variety of contracts while providing day‑to‑day legal assistance to internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise standard commercial agreements such as NDAs, vendor contracts, and service‑level agreements.
• Manage contract lifecycle activities including document tracking, version control, execution coordination, and recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure contracts meet business needs and escalate complex issues.
• Provide basic legal support to internal departments, translating legal concepts into clear business language.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory requirements, contract terms, and corporate matters; summarize findings in concise memos.
• Assist in developing compliance materials, monitoring legal and regulatory updates, and identifying potential risks.
• Support corporate governance tasks, document management, template updates, and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar (or pending admission).
• Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with contract management systems is a plus.
