About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking an Associate Head Athletic Trainer to join its Sports Medicine team. This professional will support the Head Athletic Trainer in delivering high‑quality care to student‑athletes across designated sports.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with athletic trainers, team physicians, and orthopedic consultants.
- Serve as the primary athletic trainer for assigned sports teams.
- Prevent, evaluate, manage, rehabilitate, and document all athletic injuries.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and university policies.
- Assist the Head Athletic Trainer in program development and supervision of staff.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Board of Certification (BOC) certification for athletic trainers.
- Relevant experience in collegiate or professional athletic training.
- Strong knowledge of injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation protocols.
