Associate / Engagement Manager, Payments Consulting

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Payments practice works with banks, merchants, networks, fintechs, processors and investors to deliver insights that drive growth. The firm is looking for experienced professionals to join its Payments team in New York. The role covers two levels: Associates, who break down complex problems and direct junior consultants, and Engagement Managers, who lead projects day to day.

Key responsibilities

• Associates: break complex problems into discrete tasks, identify the key aspects and direct junior consultants; plan and execute analysis, identify core issues and craft recommendations; work side by side with clients and project teams and manage small teams.
• Engagement Managers: act as on-scene leaders running projects from initial thinking through to a solution; ensure recommendations are correct, practical, sensible, relevant and cohesive; combine strategic thought leadership with command of technical and operational details.

Required profile

• Experience as an experienced professional in strategy consulting.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required for the U.S. office; Oliver Wyman does not offer sponsorship, and CPT and OPT are restricted.

What we offer

• Base salary range of $190,000 to $240,000, depending on experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education and other factors.
