Associate, Energy & Natural Resources

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Energy & Natural Resources practice works with utilities and energy companies on strategic and operational challenges, helping them explore new market, product and acquisition opportunities, address regulatory shifts and optimise operations. As an Associate, you will help break down complex problems into discrete tasks, direct junior consultants and craft recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Break down complex problems into discrete tasks and direct the focus of junior consultants to the key aspects
• Plan and execute analysis and identify the core issues in complex analyses to craft suitable recommendations
• Work side by side with clients and project team members to move projects forward
• Manage small teams and deliver work while providing unique insight into the chosen subject area

Required profile

• At least 4-6 years of relevant consulting or industry experience in energy-related sectors, with hands-on experience in asset-intensive or operational environments and across parts of the energy value chain
• Strong preference for candidates based in the Houston office; relocation is preferred for others
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
• Willingness to travel
