Associate Director, Product Management (CRM Data Activation)

About the role

Novartis is looking for an Associate Director, Product Management to join its US CRM organization, which sits within Strategy, Platforms & Transformation (SPT) - AI & Platform Products. The role partners with the Director, PO Audience Activation & Marketing Intelligence to support the strategy, development and delivery of priority data activation and enablement capabilities across the US CRM ecosystem. It is based at the East Hanover, NJ site, with no remote work and about 10% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver a defined product area, leading end-to-end delivery of data-centric capabilities such as platform and data integrations, data ingestion and transformation, and unified customer profile management, from discovery through release, hypercare, enhancements and maintenance.
• Prioritize and de-prioritize backlog items with the Director based on platform capacity and strategic alignment, and communicate decisions to stakeholders.
• Lead a dedicated scrum team through sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming and capacity planning, removing blockers and protecting team velocity and morale.
• Coordinate with CRM product managers, architecture, analytics, privacy/legal and commercial/medical stakeholders on requirements, sequencing and release readiness.
• Represent CRM function needs in platform-level planning and architecture discussions, and support data modeling, identity resolution and schema design.
• Work with data engineers and architects on data models, ingestion flows and harmonization logic, and with data analysts on segments, calculated insights and activation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master of Science and/or MBA preferred.
• At least 5 years of product management experience, with a strong track record in data platforms, enterprise SaaS or platform/enablement products.
• Demonstrated experience managing a scrum team end-to-end, from roadmap definition through sprint execution.
• Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud), including its implementation, capabilities, data model and architecture, is a core requirement.
• Deep understanding of the CRM landscape (Sales, Marketing and Service) and how field use cases drive data activation requirements.
• Preferred: CRM familiarity across Salesforce (Agentforce, Marketing Cloud, Health Cloud, Data360, Core platform), Veeva and other ecosystem players.
• Preferred: understanding of data platforms, CRM and AI architectures (e.g. Snowflake, OpenAI).
• Highly preferred: cross-product integration patterns (APIs, data pipelines, activation workflows), pharma/life sciences background, matrixed organization experience, and Agile/Scrum certification.
