Associate Director, Market Research – Oncology Solid Tumor Pipeline

About the role

The Associate Director, Market Research will lead market research for Johnson & Johnson's Oncology Solid Tumor pipeline, guiding assets from early development through launch planning. The role initially focuses on Erda iDRS and will expand to other priority assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead market research for Erda iDRS and additional solid tumor pipeline assets, creating insight plans that inform strategy, investment, and launch preparation.
• Design and execute integrated learning plans covering patients, healthcare professionals, payers, and other stakeholders.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate research findings into actionable recommendations and support launch‑readiness decisions.
• Manage the market research operating budget and ensure timely tracking against priorities.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience in market research, business intelligence, marketing, sales, analytics, strategic planning, or management consulting.
• Proven ability to partner across business teams, integrate insights with analytics, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
• Experience in oncology pipeline assets, early commercialization strategy, or launch‑readiness planning is preferred.
• Demonstrated autonomy, integrity, and comfort navigating ambiguity.

Required skills

• Broad knowledge of qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies.
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills with compelling visualizations.
• Ability to mentor and coach team members in market research techniques.
• Familiarity with applying AI to market research for insight generation and efficiency.
