Associate Director for Donaghey Scholars Honors Program

About the role

The Associate Director supports the Director in managing daily operations and long‑range planning for the Donaghey Scholars Honors Program. This role works closely with students, faculty, alumni, and multiple campus units to ensure a high‑quality experience for high‑achieving scholars.

Key responsibilities

• Assist students by coordinating with Financial Aid, Housing, and Student Accounts to resolve non‑academic issues.
• Participate in recruitment, admissions, student orientation, and advising activities.
• Teach a one‑credit professionalization and final‑project colloquium.
• Serve as liaison to the alumni board for event planning and engagement.
• Oversee final‑project procedures and maintain a database of scholar progress.
• Coordinate housing for scholars on designated residence‑hall floors.
• Provide guidance on study‑abroad opportunities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree and at least one year of professional experience in higher education.
• Experience working with honors or high‑achieving students and interdisciplinary programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office technology and software.
• Comfort with public presentations and social‑media platforms.
