About the role
The Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks outstanding researchers for open‑rank faculty positions (Assistant, Associate, or Professor). The role involves establishing an independent research program, securing extramural funding, and contributing to both basic and translational science.
Key responsibilities
- Design, execute, and publish cutting‑edge research in modern physiology and biophysics.
- Obtain and manage extramural research grants.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and medical trainees.
- Participate in departmental service and broader scientific community activities.
- Present research findings at national and international conferences.
Required profile
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
- For junior candidates: minimum three years of post‑doctoral experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to scientific excellence and a strong publication record.
